Summer Field Trip 2004
| Dear Parent Our Summer program is very enriching and ch ild friendly. Every year, a lot of families benefit from our program. Our program has two components. The first one is Fun and the second is Enrichment Learning. We understand that summer is the time for fun. After ten months of regular school, children are out to have fun and we agree with them. Your child will participate in physical activities like Martial Arts, Swimming, Athletics and sports like Soccer and Baseball. This will be lots of fun as well as enhance sense of team work. During long summer vacations children tend to forget what they achieved during regular school days. Our Enrichment Program is focused on two aspects, first to maintain what already has been taught and secondly, to progress with further course, all through playing. We confidently say that our Enrichment Program is a win win situation for child and teacher alike. Carefully planned games and hands on projects gives the child a sense of excitement and fun, while the teachers are happy that their system is working in their benefit. Towards the end of Summer Camp, in most cases, the student is usually prepared in advance for topics which are yet to be taught in regular school. Field trips are readily looked forward by the children. We offer field trips of all types: Nature, Enrichment, Learning and Just For Fun Trips! Are you looking for a Dance program? You don't have to drive far for schools now. We offer individual lessons for Tap, Ballet and Hip-Hop. We also offer Piano Lessons, Martial Arts and Swim Lessons right here on campus! Let's find the hidden talent! Do you have an artist at home? We offer a number of art projects as part of our summer camp. Our Computessori is a very innovative computer learning program which has given children advanced computer skills. We encourage early enrollment because there is a limit on the number of students in each activity. Best Regards |

Math
|
| Math is an Abstract Science and children generally have difficulty in understanding it's concepts. More over children have difficulty in relating it with their real world. In Montessori School of Downtown we have a Math Lab. We show the child how numbers move physically. Children see how and why carry over takes place. Why putting a zero before a decimal or after a decimal can change the value of a number. We teach math by a unique hands-on approach. Once the basic concepts are clear, children develop interest in math and it becomes exciting for them!
By learning this physical significance of math, our children master the art of application in their day to day problems. |

| ABC - ABCs is a program designed to help children improve computer skills and mouse motor skills. The ABC screen lets them use the keyboard or mouse to activate letters and numbers. On the Shapes and Colors screen, click the shape or color and the display area changes to correspond. The Chalkboard screen lets them select colors and draw on a blackboard. The WAV files can be substituted with your voice to personalize the pro gram. |
Blue's ABC
- The game opens with Blue and her felt friend in Felt World
and one "O" space remaining on the tic-tac-toe game board. It's
up to YOU to place an "O" in the correct space. When you get
three in a row, you WIN, and Blue comes in and dances! When
you click PLAY again, a NEW game board appears. This time, the
game board is blank and you are playing with an "X" to win against
"O" Felt Friend. The game continues until either "X" or "O"
wins and Blue dances!
|
| Jumble - The object of Jumble is to solve JumbleGrams, which are well-known phrases that you can decode only by deducing which of several different possible letters to use for each letter of the answer. You can play Jumble alone or in a group, competitively or cooperatively, against the clock or at your own pace. Two phrase books come with Jumble. One features proverbs, cliches, and catchphrases; the other is a list of over 200 Beatles song titles. You can modify the phrase books from within the game, or create new ones for yourself or others to enjoy.
|
| Match Maker
- This program helps your child learn to identify and match letters,
numbers, colors, shapes, objects, and animals. You can match uppercase
and lowercase letters, numbers and objects, pictures with pict
ures, or pictures with
names. This is a fun memory exercise for young children.
|
| Talking English- Talking English starts with basic sentence structure and allows the student to put together sentences. Talking English will teach the student how to recognize singular and plural verbs, singular and plural subjects, direct objects, indirect objects, subjective complements, and objective complements. Talking English also covers the past, present, and future tenses. For fun, Talking English includes a drawing and picture-filling program. You can add more silly sentences, more singular/plural questions, more sentence structure questions, and more scrambled sentences. |
| Animatch - This children's game is similar to the classic card game of Concentration, in which the player tries to flip two matching cards. AniMatch uses animal pictures and sounds, and is suitable for children aged 5-50. |
These are only a few examples from our collection of Programs (Oops!!) Games.
